1.) Grid-connected solar PV system

 

Most common method to power your home by the grid-connected system which is cheapest and cost-effective solar system. In this system solar power you can use as you need, can sell excess electricity to the grid. Below image shows the basic schematic of a grid-connected solar PV system.

2.) Grid-connected with battery storage system

 

These systems are connected with the grid and also have the battery bank to store the unused solar energy for your use at the night. This system is also known as the hybrid solar system. Cost of this system as compared to the grid-connected system is higher. Below image shows the basic schematic of Grid-connected with battery storage system.

3.) Stand-alone solar PV system

 

The system is called as an off-grid solar system. And have batter bank for supplying the power during the night. This system is best for the rural or remote area where other conventional sources of energy unavailable. The cost of this system as compared to the above two system is higher.
